Basketball Recap: Michael Griffin Jr.'s Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fallston over Havre De Grace

Fallston lost against Havre de Grace back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fallston Cougars fell just short of the Havre de Grace Warriors by a score of 60-58.

Fallston's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Griffin Jr., who posted 16 points. Griffin Jr. is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Oliver Rueckert, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Fallston's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Havre de Grace, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Fallston Cougars challenge the Rising Sun Tigers at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Havre de Grace, they will host Joppatowne at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
