The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.
Omaha Westside can attribute much of their success to Emre Gedik, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds, and Tyson Odvody, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Donnie Barfield, who posted eight points.
Omaha Westside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Creighton Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Lincoln Northeast by a score of 76-66 on Saturday.
Creighton Prep's win came from a few key players Omaha Westside will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Trinell Parker, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Conner Peters, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points.
Omaha Westside pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Creighton Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Omaha Westside has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Creighton Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
