Soccer Game Preview: Academy of the Holy Names vs. Venice

The Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars will challenge the Venice Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Academy of the Holy Names is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Carrollwood Day on Tuesday as Academy of the Holy Names made off with an 8-1 victory. The result kept the Jaguars happy, as they haven't lost a game since November 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, Venice beat Parrish Community 3-1 on Tuesday.

Academy of the Holy Names has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those eight matches. As for Venice, they now have a winning record of 7-6-3.
