Softball Recap: Davenport Broncos vs. Fort Meade Miners

After a string of three wins, Davenport's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They suffered a tough 17-9 loss at the hands of the Fort Meade Miners.

Riley Cresswell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

On Fort Meade's side, Ariel Ramirez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Ramirez has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Ramirez was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
