Football Recap: Prescott Badgers vs. La Joya Community Fighting Lobos
Prescott gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos 56-7 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Badgers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.
Uriah Tenette was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Johann Gundermann, who picked up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Prescott is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Thunderbird at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for La Joya Community, they will face off against Empire at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Empire focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four last Thursday.
