Volleyball Recap: Timpview Finds Home Court Redemption Against Payson

There's no place like home for Timpview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Payson Lions 3-0 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While Timpview won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.

Livia Eyre paced Timpview's offense, picking up 14 kills. Eyre got some help from Isabella Ballin and her 14 assists. Eyre was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the defeat, Payson had strong showings from Brynley Nielson, who had ten digs, and Allie Mangum, who had five digs and three aces. Nielson has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Timpview's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Payson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Timpview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against American Fork on the 3rd. As for Payson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Pleasant Grove on the 7th.
