Baseball Recap: South Park Takes a Loss

South Park managed to slip by Kiowa the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Burros lost 19-4 to the Indians on Wednesday. The Burros' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

David Shannon was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Aiden Wilson was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

South Park's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kiowa, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Park will challenge Sanford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Kiowa, they will take on Weldon Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.54 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
