Basketball Recap: Tullahoma Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Tullahoma duked it out with Giles County on Thursday. The Tullahoma Wildcats were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to the Giles County Bobcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Tullahoma lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Xavier Farrell, who went 10-for-22 en route to 21 points and five rebounds. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Bobo, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Tullahoma suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 24-4. As for Giles County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.

Tullahoma didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-52 win against Lawrence County on the 21st. As for Giles County, they have also already played their next game, a 64-32 victory against Central Magnet on the 18th.
