Softball Recap: Hilbert Wolves vs. Brillion Lions
Hilbert lost a close one when they played last Thursday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They lost 11-1 to the Brillion Lions. Hilbert has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Brillion's part, the team relied heavily on Carter Miller, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs. Jana O'Connell was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Hilbert now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Brillion, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Hilbert didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-5 loss vs. Three Lakes/Phelps on the 4th. As for Brillion, they will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Two Rivers at 2:30 p.m.
