Basketball Recap: Colleyville Heritage Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Colleyville Heritage needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Samari Stevenson. The Colleyville Heritage Panthers took down the Denton Broncos 33-19 on Friday thanks in part to Stevenson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Colleyville Heritage's points.

Meilani Trone was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Colleyville Heritage's victory ended an eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-18. As for Denton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

When Colleyville Heritage and Denton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Colleyville Heritage will face off against Ryan and their three-game winning streak at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Denton will try to stop Argyle's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
