Baseball Preview: Christian Liberty Chargers vs. Alden-Hebron Green Giants
For the second straight game, Christian Liberty will face off against Alden-Hebron. The Chargers will face off against the Green Giants at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Christian Liberty can't be too happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Tuesday. They came up short against Alden-Hebron, falling 15-5. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.
For Alden-Hebron's part, Spencer Zaccone made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Those ten strikeouts gave Zaccone a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That stolen base was his first of the season.
