Chesterfield took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Andrew Jackson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Chesterfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Andrew Jackson on Friday, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Rams have posted against the Volunteers since March 24, 2021.

Max Gulledge spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Brody Banasiewicz was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocket Watford, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

Meanwhile, Anson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Parkwood.

Chesterfield now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Anson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
