Three Rivers (8 Man) Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Lawson Posts Huge Game in 46-0 Win

Starting off the list is Marmaton Valley's Brayden Lawson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lawson threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

If history really does repeat itself, Lawson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Crest on Friday. When Lawson last faced the Lancers back in October of 2023, he threw for 198 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes.

The contest was his fourth straight with two or more receiving touchdowns dating back to last season.

Josh Hutchinson Makes It Two for Oswego

The second Oswego player making an appearance here is Josh Hutchinson, and for good reason. He rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass.

If the past is any indication, Hutchinson could be in store for another big game when he takes on Cedar Vale/Dexter on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Hutchinson saw the Spartans), he rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries.
