Volleyball Recap: Amplus Academy Comes Up Short

Amplus Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Clark Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 16-25, 25-15, 25-19.

Madisyn Bruschke paced Amplus Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Bruschke got some help from Jett Giannola and her 17 assists. Bruschke was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Amplus Academy's record is now 5-15. As for Clark, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Amplus Academy will take on rival Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Clark is set to square off against their familiar foe Desert Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
