After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Buffalo, Elkhart was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Groesbeck Goats by a score of 9-4. This was a revenge game for the Elks: when they faced off against the Goats on March 3rd, they had to take a 4-2 loss.

Rylee Lohmeyer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Lohmeyer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maryiah Jogie, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ella Lively, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Elkhart's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Groesbeck, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10-3.

Coincidentally, Elkhart and Groesbeck will both be playing Teague the next time they take the field. The Elks will head out to face the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Goats will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
