Soccer Game Preview: Fremont vs. Norfolk

Fremont hasn't had much luck against Norfolk recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Fremont will be strutting in after a victory while Norfolk will be coming in after a defeat.

Norfolk better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Fremont's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Fremont really gets things going. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Omaha Central.

Fremont hit the Eagles with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cecily Barcenes, Emma Diers, and Maira Fiscus.

Meanwhile, Norfolk faced Lincoln Southeast in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. Norfolk's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The win got Fremont back to even at 4-4. As for Norfolk, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
