Softball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Scotties vs. River View Black Bears

For the second straight game, Tri-Valley will face off against River View. The Scotties will challenge the Black Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

While Tri-Valley's win against River View wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Scotties narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Black Bears 4-3.

The team relied heavily on Gerran Matthews, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Prati, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Tri-Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Tri-Valley now has a winning record of 8-7. As for River View, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-6 record.
