Volleyball Recap: Scituate Takes a Loss

Scituate lost against Hingham back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Sailors came up short against the Harbormen, falling 3-0. The Sailors just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-7.

Corbin Ward paced Scituate's offense, picking up five kills. Ward got some help from Caleb Foley and his five assists. Foley was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Scituate's record is now 1-9. As for Hingham, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Scituate will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Silver Lake Regional at 4:00 p.m. on May 1. As for Hingham, they will challenge Durfee at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
