State's top two teams to meet for the second time this season.

At the very top, the dominance continued in the California Top 25 football rankings last week. The rest of the state's elite were a mixed bag as most sections finished up semifinal action.

Mater Dei and St. John Bosco, not only California's top two ranked squads but also the country's two best, breezed past two national Top 30 teams by a combined count of 101-27, setting up a Southern Section and national showdown.

Mater Dei senior quarterback, Alabama commit and National Player of the Year favorite Bryce Young passed for 520 yards and seven touchdowns in just three quarters during a 49-24 win over No. 5 Mission Viejo.

The nation's top-rated senior quarterback DJ Uiagalelei threw four touchdown passes and three tailbacks combined for 272 yards rushing and three more scores as Bosco defeated Centennial 52-14.

The Division 1 title game is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at Cerritos College in Norwalk.

The top Northern California team for better than a decade De La Salle also breezed into the North Coast Section 1 finals with a 49-13 semifinal win over Monte Vista (Danville). The Spartans led 49-0 at halftime and cruised the rest of the way. They'll play No. 15 Pittsburg in hopes of a 28th consecutive NCS championship. The last team to beat De La Salle in a section game was by Pittsburg in 1991.

The biggest upset of the week took place up north where previous No. 6 Folsom dropped a 35-23 Sac Joaquin Section Division 1 semifinal game to Monterey Trail (Elk Grove), which jumped into the rankings at No. 21. Monterey Trail, which got 132 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Caleb Ramseur, prevented Folsom from its 10th consecutive section final appearance.

The game of the week was then No. 10 Grace Brethren holding on to beat No. 11 La Habra 49-45 in a Southern Section Division 3 semifinal. Josh Henderson rushed for 264 yards and five touchdowns for the winners.

Besides Monterey Trail, four other teams entered the rankings: No. 23 JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano), No. 24 Pacifica (Oxnard) and No. 25 St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs).
