Basketball Game Preview: Reynoldsburg Raiders vs. Pickerington Central Tigers

The Reynoldsburg Raiders will take on the Pickerington Central Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Reynoldsburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups.

On Friday, Reynoldsburg needed a bit of extra time to put away Newark. They skirted past the Wildcats 70-67. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Wildcats are ranked 38th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pickerington Central challenged Pickerington North on Tuesday. Pickerington Central took a 75-58 bruising from Pickerington North. The Tigers were down 61-39 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Pickerington Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Reynoldsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 20-1.

Reynoldsburg was able to grind out a solid win over Pickerington Central when the teams last played back in January, winning 74-63. Does Reynoldsburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pickerington Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
