Football Recap: Holy Cross' Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 11

With a playoff win on the line, Holy Cross rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-6 win over the Dayton Greendevils. Considering the Indians have won nine games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Holy Cross was led to victory by Brian Ferguson and Charles Oglesby. Ferguson threw for 84 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes, while Oglesby rushed for 76 yards and one score. Jordan Hudson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first receiving yards of the season.

The victory keeps Holy Cross at an undefeated 11-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.5 points this season. As for Dayton, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Holy Cross will square off against Newport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. Dayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
