Preview: Americas Trail Blazers vs. Pebble Hills Spartans
Americas is 9-1 against Pebble Hills since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Americas Trail Blazers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pebble Hills Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Americas will be looking to keep their 12-game home win streak alive.
Americas put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Eastlake with a sharp 46-20 win. Given Americas' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Eastlake is ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for AIDEN MARQUEZ, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of JOSH PICHARDO, who scored 11 points.
Pebble Hills posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Coronado 43-41. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pebble Hills.
Americas is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season. As for Pebble Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.
Americas was able to grind out a solid win over Pebble Hills in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 41-34. Will Americas repeat their success, or does Pebble Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
