Volleyball Recap: Amphitheater Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Amphitheater was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Palo Verde on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Sahuarita Mustangs on Monday, falling 3-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Amphitheater took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-13, 25-20.

Kayla Tuakalau paced Amphitheater's offense, picking up five kills. Tuakalau got some help from Isabella Espinoza and her ten assists.

Amphitheater's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Sahuarita, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Amphitheater has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Rio Rico on the 1st. As for Sahuarita, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Flowing Wells on the 30th.
