Football Recap: Larkin Takes a Loss

Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 49-12 loss at the hands of the St. Patrick Shamrocks. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Shamrocks are ranked 159th).

Larkin's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Patrick, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Larkin will challenge South Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Royals their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for St. Patrick, they will welcome Leo at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
