Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Hillsboro/Central Valley's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Cass, Hillsboro/Central Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Kindred/Richland Colts. The H-CV Burros might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Hillsboro/Central Valley has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Kindred/Richland, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Hillsboro/Central Valley is taking a road trip to take on Velva/Drake/Anamoose at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Aggies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the H-CV Burros' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Kindred/Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
