Basketball Recap: St. Dominic Comes Up Short

St. Dominic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the Warrenton Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Crusaders have suffered since December 10, 2024.

St. Dominic's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Warrenton, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-5.

St. Dominic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-50 victory against Priory on the 31st. As for Warrenton, they will challenge Mexico at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Warrenton: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Mexico has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
