Basketball Recap: Fort Defiance Comes Up Short

Fort Defiance was the 49-29 winner over Stuarts Draft when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the Fort Defiance Indians and the Stuarts Draft Cougars didn't end well, with the Fort Defiance Indians falling 65-49. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Cougars are ranked 105th).

Fort Defiance is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9. As for Stuarts Draft, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

When Fort Defiance and Stuarts Draft next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Fort Defiance will try to stop Clarke County's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Stuarts Draft will square off against Central Woodstock and their four-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
