Recap: Jenks Trojans vs. Will Rogers College Ropers
Even though the Will Rogers College Ropers scored an imposing 64 points on Saturday, the Jenks Trojans still came out on top. Jenks snuck past Will Rogers College with a 68-64 win. Given Jenks' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Will Rogers College is ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Will Rogers College had strong showings from Branden Crosslen, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, and Dkarrion Titsworth, who scored 19 points. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Mitchell, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Jenks and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Will Rogers College, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Jenks will be playing in front of their home fans against Muskogee at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Will Rogers College and Memorial will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Memorial will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
