Football Recap: Trevin Manson and Elijzah Sandoval Pace Keytesville Defense

Keytesville scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 40-24 bruising from the Schuyler County Rams. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Keytesville still got an impressive performance from Trevin Manson, who rushed for 145 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Manson also posted 57.9 passer rating, marking his first of the season.

That's the most rushing touchdowns Weaver has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gage Pauley, who threw for 153 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes.

Keytesville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Schuyler County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keytesville will head out to face off against Slater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Schuyler County, they will venture away from home to square off against Greenfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
