Soccer Game Preview: Marathon vs. Key West

Marathon hasn't had much luck against Key West recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m.

Marathon is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miami Country Day. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Dolphins couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Key West had just enough and edged Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) out 3-2 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Conchs.

Kieran Smith and Loubins Fleuridor scored all three of Key West's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Marathon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Key West, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season.
