 Westside is on  a four-game streak of home losses, Pickens a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Westside Rams will take on the Pickens Blue Flame at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
 Westside scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Pickens  a   10-0 shutout. The  victory was just what Westside needed coming off of  a  14-5 defeat in their prior  game.
  Jacob Kirkus tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Will Thomas and  Trenton Slaton did most of the damage at the plate:  Thomas  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Slaton  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Brody Caudle, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Westside's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Pickens, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
