The Ocoee Knights will face off against the Winter Park Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
If Ocoee beats Winter Park with 42 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Knights didn't even let Hudson on the board last Friday, marking the Knights' second-straight 42-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 42 points or more this season.

Jayden Safford went supernova, rushing for 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards. Elijah Thomas also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ocoee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Ocoee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Casmean Jean. Another thorn in Hudson's side was Kendric Cidel, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Winter Park's game on Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 44-38 to Boone. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Decorie Johnson and Aaron Hardy Jr. Hardy Jr had a great game and rushed for 176 yards and two TDs. Meanwhile, Johnson was balling out in the loss, rushing for 180 yards and three scores while picking up 11.3 yards per carry.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Winter Park, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ayden Pouncey, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Ocoee pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.3 points on average over those games. As for Winter Park, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Things could have been worse for Ocoee, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 31-15 loss to Winter Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Knights, Grant Conner (who threw for 216 yards and one touchdown on only 19 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground) won't be suiting up this time.
