Baseball Recap: Hall Comes Up Short

If Hall was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Monmouth-Roseville on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marquette Crusaders on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 9-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Marquette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hall will square off against Princeton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Marquette, they will challenge Seneca at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders are facing the Fighting Irish at the right time seeing as the Fighting Irish are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
