Baseball Game Preview: North Augusta Yellow Jackets vs. Brookland-Cayce Bearcats

North Augusta is 0-3 against Brookland-Cayce since March of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The North Augusta Yellow Jackets will host the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats at 7:00 p.m.

North Augusta fell victim to Gray Collegiate Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the War Eagles by a score of 1-0. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Brookland-Cayce waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

The team relied heavily on Maddux Medeiros, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Rylan Bullis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Brookland-Cayce's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.5 runs. As for North Augusta, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
