Baseball Recap: Manchester's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Manchester was riding high fresh off their 23-15 takedown of Tippecanoe Valley on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Squires came up short against the Bluffton Tigers on Tuesday, falling 13-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Squires have suffered since April 13, 2024.

Ethan Hendrix made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brendyn Mugford, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Manchester fell to 3-1. As for Bluffton, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Manchester will head out on the road to take on Churubusco at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bluffton, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Wabash at 5:30 p.m.
