The Riverton Silverwolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Bingham Miners at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.9 runs per game this season.

Riverton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Mountain Ridge, who was ranked fifth at the time (Riverton was ranked first). The Silverwolves lost 9-2 to the Sentinels on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Silverwolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Camryn O'Farrell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bingham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Copper Hills on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Gracelyn Lemke, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Brenna Cowley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Bingham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Riverton moved to 19-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Bingham, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6-2.

Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Riverton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .449. However, it's not like Bingham struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Riverton beat Bingham 7-4 in their previous meeting on April 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Silverwolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
