Basketball Recap: Nokomis Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Nokomis won the last time they faced Lincolnwood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Nokomis Redskins strolled past the Lincolnwood Lancers with points to spare, taking the game 64-46. The win was nothing new for the Redskins as they're now sitting on five straight.

Nokomis was led to victory by Natalie Brownback and Camryn Engelman. Brownback went 6 of 12 on her way to 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Engelman posted 16 points in addition to six steals and five assists. With that strong performance, Engelman is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Alivia Sabol was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Nokomis' victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Lincolnwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-18.

Nokomis won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nokomis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season. As for Lincolnwood, they will take on Liberty in a tournament on Saturday.
