Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Cooper Hansen stepped things up a notch to give Riverton the 'W'. Hansen did his part (and then some), not allowing a single earned run and only one hit over four innings pitched for the 'W'.
Hansen's strong effort led Riverton over Herriman and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hansen has dominated as far as walks are concerned (he's averaged 1.3 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Herriman has only allowed 3.14 per game this season.
