Basketball Preview: Preuss UCSD Tritons vs. Bonsall Legionnaires
Preuss UCSD has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Bonsall Legionnaires at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought match, but Preuss UCSD had to settle for a 46-43 defeat against the Griffins.
Even though Bonsall has not done well against the Hawks recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Bonsall narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hawks 40-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bonsall.
Preuss UCSD's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Bonsall, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.
Preuss UCSD didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Legionnaires in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 59-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Preuss UCSD since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
