Volleyball Recap: Mercy McAuley Takes a Loss

Mercy McAuley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrison Wildcats. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 15-25, 25-18, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Mercy McAuley still got an impressive performance from Aubrey Blanton, who had ten digs and two aces.

Mercy McAuley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercy McAuley will welcome Summit Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Talawanda at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
