Basketball Recap: New Haven Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the New Haven Rockets were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-56 to the Salem Rocks. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Salem's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mitch Paspal, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. Landen Stone was another key player, putting up 11 points.

New Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Salem, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

New Haven will take on Eastpointe at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Salem, they will face off against South Lyon East at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. South Lyon East will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Salem surely won't give up without a fight.
