Basketball Recap: Ortonville Takes a Loss

Ortonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 59-29 loss at the hands of the Waubay/Summit Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 387th in Minnesota, while the Mustangs are ranked 94th in South Dakota).

Ortonville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Waubay/Summit, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ortonville will host Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waubay/Summit, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Britton-Hecla at 4:00 p.m.
