Van Alstyne had won nine straight road games dating back to last season and Savanna Young did her part to make it ten on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Paris Wildcats thanks in part to Young, who had 16 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 18 games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Van Alstyne took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-7.

Despite the loss, Paris still got an impressive performance from Audrey Del Toro, who had 12 digs.

Van Alstyne's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Paris, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.

Van Alstyne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Abilene on the 30th. As for Paris, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mineola on the 30th.
