Johansen took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Pitman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings won by a goal and slipped past the Pride 3-2. The win was familiar territory for Johansen, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Johansen's victory bumped their record up to 7-1-2. As for Pitman, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Johansen didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-2 draw against Pacheco on the 6th. As for Pitman, they will square off against Enochs at 3:30 p.m. on January 8th. The contest will give Pitman their first taste of in-conference action this season.
