Soccer Game Preview: Central Catholic vs. Manteca

Central Catholic hasn't had much luck against Manteca recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Central Catholic Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Manteca Buffaloes at 6:15 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Central Catholic fell victim to East Union and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1072nd, while the Lancers are ranked 290th).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Manteca was not quite East Union's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 1-0. The result was nothing new for the Buffaloes as the squad haven't won a game since January 16th.

Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Manteca, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18-3.
