Baseball Recap: Texas Wind's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Texas Wind had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers 6-4.

Jon Alexander made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Alexander was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Texas Wind let Simon Jarrett and Daniel Montgomery run wild. Jarrett scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Montgomery scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those runs marked the first that Jarrett scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Ellison, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Texas Wind's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Aggieland HomeSchool, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Texas Wind will face off against Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. They will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Covenant Christian will have lost four straight heading into Friday's game.
