Softball Recap: Providence Hall Has No Trouble Against Altamont

Providence Hall can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Altamont Longhorns. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Alysa Marcek, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hailey Lenz, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Providence Hall's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Altamont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7.

Coming up, Providence Hall will be taking part in a tournament against North Summit at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Altamont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
