Twenty-one programs have sent at least six players to the NFL over the last dozen drafts.

Norland (Miami) moved into double digits of former players drafted into the league since 2006.
Norland now has 10 former players chosen over the last dozen years, including first-round selections
Ereck Flowers (Giants, 2015),
Xavier Rhodes (Vikings, 2013) and
Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs, 2007).
Only two teams surpass Norland,
St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and
Glenville (Cleveland), which have 19 and 13 picks, respectively. Neither, however, had a 2018 selection.
One of the biggest movers this year was another Florida school,
Lakewood (St. Petersburg), which added three selections in 2018 to give the Spartans eight picks. Those players were linebacker
Shaquem Griffin (Seahawks),
Isaiah Wynn (Patriots) and wide receiver
Marquez Valdes-Scantling (Packers).
Griffin's selection made
global news, not only because he had his right hand amputated as a 4-year-old, but also since he joined his twin
Shaquill Griffin with Seattle. The twins were inseparable, playing at Lakewood and Central Florida, while also
joined forces with USA Football.

tied with three other schools for eighth with seven selections each after
Rasheem Green (Seahawks) was taken in the third round and
Jordan Lasley (Ravens) in the fifth.
• Over the past dozen drafts, 21 programs have had at least six players
drafted. Of those programs, eight have come from Florida and six from
California.
• Two of the California schools —
Colton (6) and
Dorsey (Los Angeles) (6) — have not played for a state championship.
• Georgia has boasted two with at least six —
Norcross and
Stephenson (Stone Mountain).
• Surprisingly, only one Texas school —
DeSoto — has had six drafted during that span.
• Other states having one program with at least six selections are Maryland, Louisiana, Arizona and Ohio.
