Volleyball Recap: Wake Prep Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wake Prep Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Fike Golden Demons by a score of 3-1.

Wake Prep Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 26-24, 25-11, 25-11.

Josie Osborne paced Wake Prep Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Osborne got some help from Harper Maxwell and her 42 assists. Brenna Barnes controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Wake Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fike, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Wake Prep Academy will head out on the road to square off against Corinth Holders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fike, they will host Smithfield-Selma at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
