Softball Game Preview: Hickory Red Tornadoes vs. Foard Tigers

Hickory is 0-10 against Foard since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. Hickory will face off against Foard at 6:00 p.m. Hickory has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hickory is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 11-1 to St. Stephens.

Meanwhile, Foard came up short against East Lincoln on Friday and fell 6-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addy Lael was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Hickory's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Foard, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Hickory might still be hurting after the 13-1 loss they got from Foard in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Hickory avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
